more about AVISE PG

The first and only test to measure methotrexate polyglutamates, the active metabolites of methotrexate.

As a prodrug, methotrexate (MTX) requires enzymatic conversion to MTX polyglutamates to exert anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects in rheumatoid arthritis (RA). However, MTX absorption, metabolism, and excretion vary widely among individuals, leading to marked variability in the conversion of MTX to its active, polyglutamated forms. Because of this variability, dose and response do not always correlate, making it challenging to optimize MTX therapy without insight into patients’ polyglutamate levels. But now there is Avise PG, a test that can help you determine whether partial or nonresponders to MTX may benefit from continued dose escalation or may need a change in therapy.

Avise PG is the key to objectively evaluating MTX polyglutamates and giving your RA patients their best chance for a new response.

more about AVISE MCV

A sensitive and specific test that improves upon traditional means of diagnosing rheumatoid arthritis (RA).

Avise MCV is a useful adjunct to traditional clinical and laboratory methods for diagnosis of RA, offering a high level of diagnostic accuracy and correlation to RA disease progression. Avise MCV measures autoantibodies to mutated citrullinated vimentin, a protein that is found in the inflamed synovium of patients with RA.

Avise MCV is the ideal choice for first-line testing of patients who present with symptoms of RA, offering prognostic insight while improving diagnostic accuracy. Several studies have established the clinical performance of anti-MCV in diagnosing RA. The clinical performance of anti-MCV versus anti-CCP across eight peer reviewed studies can be summarized as follows:

Table comparing MCV vs CCP

8 studies; total number of patients: N=3524;
Patients with rheumatoid arthritis: N=2232; controls: N=1292
* Anti-CCP studies include tests from multiple manufacturers
and generations:anti-CCP2, anti-CCP3, anti-CCP 3.1

Early diagnosis and appropriate treatment of rheumatoid arthritis are critically important to prevent erosive joint destruction and disability. Avise MCV testing offers the potential to better detect patients who have RA and identify those more likely to have severe disease progression.
